Memory & Company operates 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week.

We are hiring day shifts, afternoon shifts, and night shift, for weekdays and weekends.

A Support Team Member plays an extremely important role at Memory & Company ensuringour Members are comfortable, happy, engaged and well cared.

We work universally as a team and all Support Team Members MUST be comfortable with personal care and leading activities.

  • PSW certificate or similar experience
  • 1 year experience working with people who have Alzheimer’s or related dementias, acquired brain injury, stroke or Parkinson’s
  • Physically fit, can sit, lift 35 lbs., bend and stand for long periods of time
  • Mentally fit to meet the emotional demands of caregiving for people with Memory Loss
  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Passionate about improving the lives of those affected by Memory Loss
  • Comfortable leading large and small group programs
  • Comfortable with all aspects of personal care care in a sensitive, private and respectful manner
  • Comfortable with light housekeeping and dining assistance
  • Creative and enjoys running daily programming

An RPN/RN is on site 24 hours-a-day.

We are hiring day shifts, afternoon shifts, and night shift, for weekdays and weekends.

As an RPN/RN, our Support Team Lead plays an important role by ensuring our Members are cared for on their medical side, and are comfortable, happy, engaged, and well cared for while at Memory & Company.

As we have a universal approach to care, our Support Team Lead also takes on the roles of the Support Team by participate in programs, activities, and care assistance.

  • At least one year of relevant experience as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Knowledge and experience working with people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Nurses
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making and assessment skills
  • Ability to lead a team environment
  • Physically fit, can sit, bend and stand for long periods of time
  • Can lift up to 35 lbs
  • Mentally fit to meet the emotional demands of caregiving
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • Police Criminal Reference Check, Vulnerable Sector
  • Mantoux Test to confirm no active TB
  • Secondary language an asset
  • Willing to take annual flu shot, unless allergic and confirmed by a physician
  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Passionate about improving the lives of those affected by dementia
  • Comfortable leading large and small group programs
  • Comfortable with care and assisting our Members to the toilet in a sensitive, private and respectful manner

  • Schedule caregiver meetings, from intake to exit, with accurate and complete documentation, including all ongoing changes or issues
  • Medication checks and communication with pharmacy if issues arise
  • Assist with Member assessments when needed
  • Inform families of medical concerns or issues
  • Lead the team in any medically related issues
